Tokyo Attack!

IDENTITY REBRANDING

"HOW TO PLAY" BOARD TEMPLATE
FINAL LOGO DESIGN
If you were asked to descibe modern Japanese culture, you'd probably be quick to point out the bright, colorful, and sometimes over-the-top characteristics found in much of their television, advertising, and video games. For many in Western countries though, getting to experience this atmosphere firsthand isn't exactly easy. Fear not though, because Tokyo Attack! aims to change that! Formerly known as Bemani Invasion, the main goal of Tokyo Attack! is to bring the experience of a Japanese game center to folks all throughout the US. From virtual dancing games to table-flipping simulators, it really is an experience that you can't find anywhere else stateside.
I was asked to create an identity package for the company's 2015 rebranding, covering everything from logos and banners to business cards and instructional posters. The result was a branding package that attempts to capture the hyper and colorful aspects of modern Japan, while at the same time keeping a focus on the element of gaming in general. Pastel colors and strong typefaces are the main culprits at play, creating a brand that can give your eyes a real sugar rush!
